Daily God Walk for February 2013
The Joy of the Lord
A Daily Devotional on Joy – we sing about it, we experience it, but all too often it is that indefinable quality that we enjoy but don’t know how we get it or what to do to maintain it. The devotions for this month will explore many aspects of joy and we will look at a number of principles found in the Bible that help us to grow this fruit of the Spirit as we walk in faith.
We start this month by exploring the Joy of Walking in the Spirit and with that we go on to explore the Joy of Serving followed by the Joy of Righteous Living. This first half of the month is about our walk and the joy that comes through being in obedient service to the Lord in his kingdom.
The second half of the month we are focusing more on the Joy of His Presence, the Joy of His Promises and Joy in the Hope of Deliverance. These devotions will look at how he blesses us with joy in every way as we walk by faith with him.
Here are a few of the Daily Titles with excerpts from each:
"Joy is a Fruit of the Spirit"
Where do you go to get an apple? You go to an apple tree.Where do you go to get an orange? That's right; you to to an orange tree.Where to you go to get joy? You got to the joy tree of course...
"Sometimes Hard Words Produce Joy"
All of us with children have experienced times when we had to speak hard words to them that clearly outlined the consequence of a certain line of behavior. We have seen them get upset, and sometimes even spew out angry words that hurt - but we spoke hard words because we knew that there were certain things that we could not allow...
"Service Produces Joy"
His lord said unto him, "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou has been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord." - Mathew 25:21
"Joyful Sounds of Victory"
The army of Israel was coming home victorious. As they entered the city the people were jubilant. Dancing and singing broke out in the streets. There was joy over the victory...

Tips on Leading a Small Group
We have found that there are many folks who want to lead small groups so now you will also find, in the back of the book each month, tips on using the Daily God Walk as a text for small group discussions as well.
Small Group Coaching Online
For many years a focus of our ministry has been small group meetings. We have found that spiritual growth takes place when small groups of believers gather to discuss the Scripture, pray together, share the issues of life and fellowship together.
That is our motivation for expanding our ministry to include small group coaching. If you lead a small group, sometimes called cell group, or if you would like to be a leader, I encourage you to check out our small group coaching page.
Our hope is that the entire Daily God Walk program will be a blessing to you, a help for spiritual growth and an asset to your ministry.
